well after years of riding all sorts of Italian bikes I've finally reached the point where I'm going to be old, boring and sensible and buy the bike I've slated for way too many years :)

I'm looking at 2 GS12's, one mid 07 no ABS very low miles, one early 08 (07 model) with ABS, spec of bikes is similar, heated grips, handguards, on board computer and there's about £750 difference in price between them. I'm not sure whether the ABS is worth the money, only ever had 1 bike with ABS and I've never kicked that in, ridden for over 30 years and never locked a front up yet so do i just go non ABS and save myself a chunk of cash that could buy panniers ? non ABS looks like its a lot simpler, less weight and less chance of something going wrong but i don't know if its a must have when it comes to selling the bike?

Comments/advice welcome please.

TIA

Michael

Chose the one you like the look of first.

ABS, thirty years no lock ups....

LOL they are identical, silver/grey, same kind of mileage both good BM dealers, both clean bikes, more expensive one is dealer i know as they service the GF's 650GS but my wallet is struggling to justify a £750 difference

Better advice might be to forget the pair of em. Subscribe to this site and keep em peeled for the right bike - buy from a TOSSER and save an even bigger hunk of cash - VAT. (plus stealership mark-up)

Plus get the bits and pieces you want included in the price. :thumb2
