How long before the Chinese are knocking out a decent whisky and undermining our domestic product? Suppose anything made now will take few years to mature into something drinkable.

Tourism's down due to Covid and the green carbon agenda. If whisky goes the same way then what'll rely on for income

it can't taste any worse than a bottle of French "Scotch" i was given .

Don't blame me when the Chinese are flogging it back to Scotland...

...I work in hardmetals, and a global player was importing raw materials from China and decided that they could just as easily import processed metal. They entered a lease to establish and run a processing plant in China. When it came to resign the lease, the Chinese Government declined the offer, and allowed the workers to step up and run it for the state.

You need to try some whisky from China...... Superb stuff

Nope, nothing worse than Bonnie Prince Charlie whisky from Morocco! Paint stripper might be a better description and potential use.

They might send the Buckie boys (breakfast in a pie) as it was them who put the new Macallan distillery together because I was the commissioning engineer. I wonder if they need me for this build?
