Hmm, but needs RON98 preferrably indeed.

Hmmm... If the first one arrives in Estonia on the streets i'll steal it's engine. :D If i go travelling i put 1100 back on to use lower octane gas and more proven reliability, otherwise running 12RT engine on regular home-school-work route ;)

Well, i think it's about the fairing of RT - it has good aerodynamics and has the same engine as 1200GS but the 12GS takes "normal" amount of gas for GS-type of travelenduro anyway. :D

Holy smegaroony

If my maths is right, thats 78mpg at 56mph, and 58mpg at 75mph.

Then again - BMW claimed 60mpg for the R1200GS and mine's never done over 45 :)

Très intéressant ma petite souris. The trip computer tells me I'll have squeezed 236 miles out of this tank. Unless it's telling porkies, that'll be 53.68 mpg. Half of that was a trip back from Braemar down Glenshee where I wasn't exactly hanging about.

The best comparison for me is that I never get more than 42 mpg out of my VFR. Having said that, I spend little or no time in city traffic.

Yup - getting around 54 out of mine and that is never running on a steady throttle as it is running in.

I had tried the 1150RT but that was too boring - but this is so much lighter and better - best bike I have ever had.
