Had the GS for 2 months now and done about 3000 miles all trouble free what a fantastic bike!!
Strengh of the bike, or more preciesly the cylinder head protectors (the standard BM Plastic ones) tested today when a rather dosey woman in old granada gave me a glancing blow whilst filtering towards the Blackwall Tunnel.
Hardly noticed a thing!! The Cylinder head protector has split but took all the impact, just a slight paint mark on the Cylinder head otherwise fine.
Any other make of bike and the impact would have probably been my calf!! or a lot of broken and expensive plastic fairing.
Those Cyclined heads might seem a little awkward at times but do have there benefits.
Off to Nippy Normns now to order SW Motech Engine Bars to re-inforce the tank a little more.
