Well at last I managed to clear a path out for my bike and made it out today. Despite having not turned the engine over at all for a few weeks, it started first time
. My recent electrical mods meant I now had working Aux Lights and Zumo
.
After working in the garage recently at temps as low as -9C it felt positively warm today
(4C) and I didn't even have my heated handgrips nor my heated waistcoat switched on at any time.
Took a run up by the Campsies and then called into BMW Bishopbriggs for a coffee (only another 8,678 to go and my bike will have been free
) . There was only one other bike parked outside, a GSA. Couldn't quite get the new fangled drinks machine working so first time round I ended up with a Coffee/chocolate which was actually excellent, second time I manage a chocolate fine.
After that a run into town to pick up stuff for Skye. Bike parking bays were empty
After that homeward bound via my favourite local chippie, just next to the Untouchables, at the Barras. Excellent value as well, £1.95 for a Haggis supper. Ate half there and have just finished the other half back home. Great to get out and to get to a chippie as its normally a bike run treat. Best of all was just getting back out on the GS.
