i did see all the VWs outside Guys and wondered if one of the was yours . i thought if i stop here i wont get out alive with al the shanagins that go on there, plus i had to go and finish a load of painting at my mums house

it was my GREEN 100gs i went to guys on which is only slightly better than the 90s. regarding Dave and i , we do have a few things in common and buying half a dozen bikes each year is one of them. we come here to talk about it and share with others with the same problem. i hope one day we too will find that KEEPER.
so many red herrings out there though, oh well whats a man to do??

You should have popped in. Although you probably did the sensible thing as you most likely would not have escaped until the wee small hours in a very sorry state. Had a cracking time though. Mine was the silver VW Transporter (with a mattress in the back – classy!)
Re: the bikes. I am beginning to think a little more like you both (only not quite as extreme). I used to keep bikes for years and years but I seem to get bored owning the same one/type nowadays. Only problem with that for me though is I can't help myself and bugger about with them and spend a small fortune on them. That's fine if I keep it years but if I promptly out it, it'll cost me an arm and a leg on a regular basis. Hey ho.
