Well I have read the threads and seen the bike (at least a month ago now) and heard all the comments positive or negative, since. A very observant person on this very site used the term 'The 12ADV is just a bike version of the Chelsea tractor'.

And you know there is a very good possibilty they are going to be right! The possibilities of the majority of these bikes covering the real distances that it was intended for are very remote and it sickens me to continually hear the bitching and ill educated answers and arguments over this new machine.

The small nit picking on detailing such as seat colours etc. keep you all entertained while you wait for your styling exercise to arrive.

But all future 12ADV owners please prove me wrong, I will only be too pleased to talk 'BIKE' with you (if you are at all capable?) when we eventually meet.

And to those that don't prove the bikes worth? Well I will avoid contact with you guys as I would a sad driver of a sparkling 4x4 anwhere in suburbia!

Thank f**k for that, anybody that judges people by what they do or don't do with their cars & bikes wouldn't be welcome anyway :thumb

You don't need to be particularly observant to make that comment! Even I said it years ago when the 1150 ADV arrived, now I've got one

Seen as your must have posted this from Outer Mongolia, Alaska, South America or some other distant part of the world  I doubt you,ll have to worry anyway :nenau

try this for size........

thats why leaders of large corporations need forward future thinking vision. to allow designers to incrementally progress.
otherwise we'd all be riding Dneipers.
if you don't push design ideas you'll stagnate.
todays 1150 adv is tomorrows has been - and so it goes on.
its called progress - airheads are disappearing too - why? cos people want more modern 'stuff' - the 1100 is the next one to go.
I remember getting a kawa gt750 back in 1984 - self-cancelling indicators,air suspension,hitech instruments - its old shite now.

what you riding ? dneiper or GS ???

He cant even post in the correct forum ffs, this whinge / rant is obviously not technical as even I can read it :D :dabone

Well John C posted it here aswell as it provided the most fun. But point taken no more wind ups okay....

Well done Ianran (1200GS Forum) first to spot it!

You guys are loosing your touch, just soooo excited at your new arrival you missed the soooo obvious wind up.

But had to have a go, it provides so much entertainment. It is the way of things with us 1150ADV owners. So don't worry I have fitted a bell to my bike so that you recognise me and the bike next time I'm coming past ya!!

Just like the goaly who needs a bell in the ball to know when it's coming....lmao.

So I sit back and wait for the ridicule of being an 1150ADV owner, who can't afford this , is jealous of that...etc...etc.

There's enough material in this return post to keep ya' going.

But I stand by the remark..Chelsea Tractor! Just don't give the other bike owners, who haven't discovered the advantages of ANY GS model the excuse to use the description.

Motomartin. Your comments about bike development and evolution are noted.

Let's just hope the riders evolve along with the devlopment.
