The dirty deed is done!

I've now had three 1150 GS's and all have been cracking bikes. My current one has just taken me round Yorkshire and Scotland, 3000 miles in 7 days and never missed a beat or protested about the progress being made. (Did get me a speeding conviction though! )

Today I went to Wollastons to let them have a listen to a loud clanking noise which has plagued this bike ever since I've had it. Clarkes in Birmingham were visited on three seperate occasions and put the noise down to throttle bodies!!! It's so loud it wakes my neighbours up!! Anyway Wollastons diagnosed the alternator bearing as fecked so I booked it in however Wollastons offered me such a good trade in on mine for a Red 1200GS, 05 plate, 1000 miles, spoked wheels, heated grips, top box, clear lenses, I couldn't refuse. The deed is done....pick it up wednesday!!

Move over...room for one more?

I hoping it will be every bit as good as my 1150's.

Well done hope you enjoy it half as much as I have my 12GS which I have had for 11 months

I am sure it will take a bit of getting used to after your 1150's give it time.

She took it reasonably well!!

Once I'd explained she would only have to work an extra 3 hrs a day to support it, everything was fine!

Well she hasn't said a word for the past hour so thats got to be good.

Just come back from a 5 day tour to the Black Forest Germany via France, in to Austria, back to Germany and France to home, 1,884 miles in total.

The GS12 never missed a beat, so you have definitely bought a well capable bike, enjoy. Bought mine from Wollastons too.
