Anyone that read my other posts will know that BMW has replaced my bike under warranty (with a small contribution from me). It was built last Thursday, and shipped straight to the UK, arriving at my dealer Thursday night.:clap

So, today I went to check it out, make sure the frame is OK (it is!), choose the registration, and work out the jobs that need to be done before it gets delivered.

Here it is.:JB Sorry for the slightly blurry pictures.

They no longer come on a crate with a cardboard box, so I couldn't get any pictures of the unboxing.

The panels are going in to the body shop today/ Monday, so it will look like this:

I decided to go for satin black, rather than matt, as it should be easier to look after.

I'm having the Touratech radiator guards, cylinder covers, centre stand plate, and Wunderlich bar risers fitted, as well as the BMW engine bars, tinted screen, LED spots, Akra exhaust, panniers and tank bag. I'm hoping for delivery on Wednesday 18th, as that's my birthday, but that may be pushing it a bit, so delivery will probably be Thursday or Friday.:clap

I've got loads more to fit, once it arrives, so watch this space!:thumb

Still like that Blue.....should look great when the panels are painted satin black :thumby:

Looks ace Nutty, hope everything is good with this one. Mine is going back as well, but I've asked for the GSA in April.
Any idea if you can get the pro gear-assist for this one?
Enjoy it. :thumb2

happy new bike Nutty:beerjug: as for the negatives ! like my mate Kev says stick a fork in there ass and turn them over there done :jager

Thanks folks.:thumb The gearbox on my 2013 was fine, unless I'd had a liquid lunch, so I have no doubts about this one.:D Will, of course, report back once I've stuck a few miles on it.:beerjug:

Lovely bike!
What did you have to check on the frame?
I'm meant to be getting one in a few days, it's a blue one that was in stock in the UK whatever that means.
(Not factory order)
Sounds like it could be one that I may need to check over?

Right, here are some gratuitous garage shots.:aidan

The first thing that stood out is this, and it's probably the easiest way to recognise one of the bikes with the revised frame (no BMW emblem, before the questions!).

The blue is BRIGHT, and I don't regret getting this colour. With the black panels, it looks great. Once I get a chance to ride it, I'll get some proper outdoor shots of it covered in mud!:JB

Enjoy - just needs a yellow Akra sticker for the exhaust now :D:D

PS - what height seat did you go for from Touratech?

Standard height.:thumb I'm not sure how it comes off though!

Would also look better with the black head protectors ;)

True, I'll probably get mine powdercoated once I've dropped it a few times.:D

Nice

Nice bike and looking good.:thumb Think a curd catcher may help as well in this weather. Anyway enjoy. Setting the stranded.

ATB.
