the eagle has landed.

I think it's going to be difficult to clean behind it, or am I missing something ?

I was thinking the same. Seems odd that they had to take the front apart to fit it.:nenau Or are you never meant to clean behind it?

I have seen a clip on youtube somewhere and yes, it just pulls off. I thought the dismantling was necessary just to fit the fixed receptacles where the screen 'plugs in'

Ah, ok fair enough. Would be good to see what this looks like out in the real world:thumb (and no JB, I'm not thinking of buying one:pullface):D

That headlight protector looks like a dog's dinner...................hideous:barf

Sorry......... but BMW have created a garden cloche with this one:blast

You could propogate tomato seedlings behind that:D

Imagine the cost of a new headlight, should you need one :eek

Got to agree with JB thats fecking terrible, more street fighter than adventure biker. It could however come in handy as a camping plate or shield in a sword battle, sorry scrap that it would take all day to remove it :D

What a bloody kafuffle .... taking the front wheel out to fit a headlamp guard :augie

That's the way Adv bikes have gone these days:blast

:D

Remove half the bike, just to fit a piece of £5 plastic:rolleyes:

Got admire BMW's atttention to detail, it's only interested in workshop work times to charge the customer:clap

Thats good that it just pulls off, i guess you have to take it off when you pop in the shops like a sat nav in case it gets stolen :blast

I think you can sleep safely, no one in their right mind would steal that:thumb:barf

Well, I suppose there were other shapes BMW could have chosen......

As Tim says.....................you can't polish a turd and the new BMW headlight protector for the 12GS WC .......................is most definitely a turd

Think I've been mis quoted there, I didn't actually say it's a shite looking bike made worse with another piece of plastic:D

How about a Pic with the job finished, I bet t looks fine when the screen is fitted also, to give the look some flow?
