Was sorry to hear about your off - hope you're back on 2 wheels soon and sending in more reports like that Achill one.
Just off the phone with the bold Ged and he's a bit sore and apart from a night in a ward in letterkenny surrounded by old men farting and playing country & western music on the radio I think he's ok! 
Hopefully Big Mary will soon be back on the road.

Hardly the main issue at present, but where's your bike? If it's still in the verge, all your bling may be nicked, but if the garda have had it transported, it may cost a few euros to get it back.

When I was lying in the ward at 3am after the nurse had checked me out, I
heard her talking to Paddy, a rather aged patient.
'Have you peed Paddy' she shouts. (by the way Paddies deaf)
'Wa ye say' paddy replies.
The nurse shouts even louder - 'Have you peed yet paddy.'
'wad ye say' asks paddy again.
This goes on for a while. I'm lying in bed wishing to be somewhere else.
The nurse starts shouting even louder - Paddy, hhave you peed yet.'
This time Paddy heard as did most of letterkenny.. ' Naw, I don't want a cup
of tea. Thanks'
Moments like this make life nice.
Anyhow, Big Mary is safely in a lock up and the insurance is going to look
after it. Might be a bit of bling for sale.
A few pics of my helmet which took the full impact when i kissed the tarmac.
Si downloaded some pics of Big Mary but I can't retrieve them yet.
That one has justified itself anyway Glynn.
Seems to have taken the battering pretty well too.

Glad to hear you are up and about. The combination of the helmet photos and the damaged bike just show that even a low(ish) speed spill is a painful experience. Sorry to see the bike looking like that - hope it is fixable.

and the emergency services arrive...
the ones you've been waiting for!
so this is what i arrived back to, with jed standing there, face full of blood, unsure of where he was or what was going on. quite the knock on the head! in this instance, the bike is facing in the opposite direction of where it was traveling. Jed was coming in the same direction as the Focus. Somehow he managed to pirouette the bike on crashing.
given that his back didn't appear to be damaged and he was now getting very cold, I put him in a car until the emergency services arrived.
cue the emergency services...
onto the spinal board then...
so that's that. saw him tonight he's still a bit bruised, but plotting his new bike, although i still don't think he'll accompany me to morocco at the beginning of april, so it'll be a solo mission if i manage to hire me an after sales manager by then!
