I’ve been up early and thus flicking (on my iPad) through a rather excellent German (March ‘22) publication of MOTORRADSTRASSEN magazine* and this spread across the page has caught my eye.
If you like a bit of old and/or medieval looking architecture, then this will tick those boxes for you.

Having tapped on the link at the bottom page it taken me to the website and with a tap on the Union Jack
the page instantly as if by magic translated it self to English, if some part of the page are a bit clunky where translation is concerned. I have resorted to an inbuilt Safari translate function, which works rather well by means of just a few taps on the screen (same works in Safari on your iPhone or indeed Mac)
Tap on Routes and Citys (Cities) tab and you are presented with an overview of 8 regional route plans, which you can chop and change as you see fit to suit your travelling timeline and/or available time on hand.

In this instance I've chosen the much loved and talked about Black Forest area as an example.
You can see here that the route is near 800km (500 miles) long.
I can not see any GPX files available to download, just a linked list (to the left of the map) of towns and cities* that are of interest and an outline of the possible way to link them, overlaid on Google maps.

In this instance, lets take the first town in the list and tap on it. Its tell you a bit about the place.

You get the idea.
Now lets have look at the map a bit closer...

... and even closer.

You can see that the is no set route to follow per se, leaving this task unto you. Whether you want to ride along the main roads, goat tracks or indeed (if any available) TET tracks or indeed just wish to visit two or three towns of your choosing, It is up to you.
Here is a quick route I've knocked up in MRA (app) using nothing more than my iPad (with updated route planner within the app) and typing in the names of the town/cities in their listed order, whilst selecting "Avoid Motorways, Tolls & Unpaved Roads". All I've done, was plonking each and every waypoint as central to the main town area as possible, nothing more nothing less.
