That's a good point for us 'over-45s'. Is the SP-III the best for those of us who need to open our mouths and don reading glasses every time we have to look at a display, whilst riding?

Cheers,

Neil.

Get a 2610

You can get a 2610 for £550 now, so get this if you don't mind no battery power.

The Compact flash card that comes with it, 256mb will take the whole of the UK, and I believe a 1Gb card (About £70.00) will take the whole of Europe.

Gary.

Anyone interested in 1Gb and 2Gb cards let me know, I'm testing a 1Gb next week.
I'll post costs then.

as far as i know the power cable is a seperate ordered part to the ram cradle.... I've used mine loads in hire cars so far and its far better and quicker than my gps V. The 'off route recalculating' takes loads less time and I can get all the maps for my next years trip from Edinburgh to Italy and back in its memory.:D I've also used it out on the mountain bike, and got 4 hours out of the internal battery on a freezing day ( with the indicator showing 1/4 used ). Its been out hillwalking too with no problems. As mentioned somewhere else the suction windscreen mount that comes with it is ideal for the frequent hire car pilot...........
