Following a good turn out at the Central London meet last night at Doggets on Blackfriars bridge, someone who worships their body like a temple, (and who shall remain nameless), suggested food. Now this set the ideas going, you know things like fish & chips on the way home etc. Now at this point, the suggestion was raised, 'how about a curry?' - so I said "why don't we have a curry night" for a change. This was met with enough enthusiasm around the table to make it work.

Now what we need is to find a suitable venue - preferably NOT in Central London, it could be out in the 'burbs, any one have any personal praises of their fave indian? - it would be ideal if they had parking as well to keep the 'bikes a bit secure.

I know of one at the top of Polehill just outside Orpington - so I'll suggest this to get the dialogue flowing.

Would anyone like to join in and see how many people would be interested in getting this going?:)

The 'Eastern Brasserie (sp?)' at the top of Elstree hill is good, and is also just down the road from the Battleaxes meet.

Would that be the Bengal Mangrove, London Road, Halstead.

Which just hapens to be part of the Top Class chain of Restaurants of which my local and fave The Bengal Lancer is one?

If so count me in for a salad and a lime cordial :D

Curry!!

Phil,

I'd like to register my interest in the Curry night. As for sugestions, The Kent Curry House in Dartford is good, but quite small or the Omar Khayyam in Barnehurst.

Can't stomach the stuff - no suggestions - bad idea - grumble, grumble, grumble and ya boo sucks

Not a place to impress the Girlfriend on a first Date

:)

In South-East Kent we laugh at the suggestion of mere Indian restaurants..... and go to Ghurka curry houses instead.

The Hungry Eye in Hythe.... pukka and they have nice sharp knives and fearsome reputations...... so no one does a runner....
