The "How many points I lost this weekend" thread.

Saw the results a couple of minutes ago before I came on here, excellent ride Tim! :thumb
Reasonably happy with my score, will be better once I get my head round the red route (hopefully :eek)
Made up with Denise's ride today though, all 4 laps without any drama, she's been scowling at the results and working out where she could have done better.
Good to see Lynchy joining the fray!
Cracking day, considering how vile the weather was at the start.

Cheers chaps :beerjug:

Great day out even though the weather wasn't.

Well done Tim, I said you never had anything to worry about. :clap

I might not be that far behind you though when I can find the 'end gates' :blast
Thanks again for showing me round.

Lynchy :D

Well done Ian.
I struggle to remember the sections and have just learned to take a bit more time making sure now. Well most of the time:blast
If you have caught the bug Gresford Classic Trials club have a trial on at the same venue in a week and a half, 9th of Feb.
Same format but hopefully different weather and sections.

Cheers Eddie, yes I've got the bug but frequently have my little girl at the weekends when there's a trial on so can't make it on those weekends until she's a bit older.
And that's this weekend so I'll have to give it a miss.
I'll keep my eye on the websites for future events.

Have a great day, although the weather this weekend looks the same, wet and windy!!! :blast

Have fun chaps

Feeling a bit jaded after a long trail ride on a heavy bike yesterday is the only excuse I have for losing 19 points in today's Classic trial over 40 sections, the reality was lack of consistency... ...

...perhaps because it was my first trial for a couple of months ..... perhaps because .... anyway, must try harder:blast

I'd forgotten about this thread Tim, seems like there's only you and I contributing to it though! Thought there were a few other Trials competitors on the site. :nenau
From the same Trial as Tim, the superb Aqueduct Classics Club threw us in some steep water on Sunday (their words, not mine! :D)

The last photo shows me losing one of the 56 marks I ended the day with!
First lap was a horror story, two 5's, seven 3's, one clean and a dunking! One section had us drop into the stream after a tight turn between two trees, the clutch lever caught on a branch and pulled the bike to the left, but I was already going right, with predictable results!
I started to get the hang of the sections on the second lap, and got a few more cleans under my belt, and by the end had managed to clean all but one section at least once.
A really enjoyable day, thankfully not too cold though, as I was able to wring a bucketful of water out of my undershirt at the end!

Nah .... I lurk and occasionally contribute, but it's mostly to trade insults with the Hobo.

Dropped a load myself this weekend and had a little swim just when i thought I had cracked it. :blast
