Twin spark? Rob, is it worth it?

Good to see you are looking after her in the way she had become accustomed to. :thumb2:bow

Personally I don't like twin plugging, but some say it does improve on the 1000cc conversion :rob what do I know tho :nenau

Personally I wouldn't bother with twin plugging again but if nothing else it looks pretty trick. The ignition timing is the biggest problem... Have a read here and follow the links and then make your own mind up :thumb2

Old thread on twin plugging

For a thousand lump, my pd is surprisingly smooth ( like her owner :augie ) with the twin plugging. BUT TBH I don't think it is worth all the extra expense and hassle..and when I had my Siebenrock that was the dogs danglies without twin plugging.

Proff knows nothing btw :augie

I agree with the esteemed moderator...
each to their own.......

I rode a Twin plugged Mike KRAUSER [MKM100 ]boxer and then later rode the same bike with single plugs [ Twin plug heads had cracked , no 10mm plugs in those days :rob ]
I personally thought it went better with single plugs :thumb2

I also tried the same bike with Krauser 4 valve heads , my honest opinion ??
SHITE !!!! more trouble than worth

BUT Sheer Beauty :rose

When Jim Cray worked for Mick Barr in Leicester, many years ago, he had a pair of Krauser heads for sale on the counter for ages. £500 for the pair if a remember correctly. I don't think he ever sold them.

Rob the engineering on that frame was fabulous, like a tight dress on Kylie, it just fitted every curve of engine and gbox and boy could it handle :eek
I wore a right hand rocker cover out just going round the old Gerrards bend at Mallory around 7 times !!! a 2 valve one thank feck :)
I wish I knew where one was now :spank:spank:spank
