Who knows where I can get some information on Komfi seats (the brand) I have been searching on the internet but it seems these guys don’t have a web page  .

I have seen some postings on the site about Komfi seats but are they really good. I have the ADV and am considering an alternative.

The seat I bought from Coopers was a low seat, and it was rock hard. Gave that up failrly quickly and bought a Sargent whiich is a lot better.

It is alleged that Corbin are the best, if somewhat pricey.

I have looked at Corbin and Sargent seats but they all seem to be lower than the standard seat. I’m 6’1 and really want to keep the height so as to keep the pressure off my knees. Plus both Corbin and Sargent seat are made in the US –
I don’t really fancy sending my base over and waiting weeks for it to come back.

I have also looked at the Melvin seat – but I am not entirely convinced – Some people either love them or hate them.

I met a guy yesterday who sewers by the Komfi seat – But I can’t find a trace for the people who make them or any contact details.

Corbin make up a brand new seat without needing the base of your current seat. The only problem with them is they are expensive, and you would have to buy both as the standard rear seat won't fit with a front Corbin. The current price for both is $698, or about £400. If you ordered direct from the US, be prepared to be hit with import duty and VAT on top of that price

I'm not sure if the Sargent seats are built from scratch or not, but I seem to recall that you can still use the standard rear seat with the front Sargent.

Komfi seats

Hi Dutchman, it is Coopers of Reading that do the Komfi seats.i am on my second and really like them. They work on an exchange basis so you shouldn't be without a seat for too long.
I believe the top man from Coopers is also a GSer "Tim Angus" top guy,you could drop him a pm.
CheersDave

Dutchman, Corbin seats are higher than normal. I borrowed one and although it was very comfortable I couldn't touch the floor.

Cheers
