That really is the 1150 adv of bridges :thumb2

Good analogy. Forth Bridge, needs the odd lick of paint. Good for another 100 years.
Forth road bridge, corroding from inside, constant modifications from new. Got around 20 years life left.
New bridge (not built yet). Probably built from plastic and string. Will look nice for a few weeks before it falls down in a strong breeze.

Why do you feel the need to put 3 feckin bridges up at one crossing point ??

Bloody short sighted-ness !

Sydney Harbour Bridge - manages 2 train lines and 10 lanes of traffic - built 1900-ish. :rob

oh ok....

When the Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened by the Premier of New South Wales, Mr Jack Lang on the 19th March 1932, the Harbour Bridge was one of the greatest engineering masterpieces of its time

Today the Sydney Harbour Bridge carries eight traffic lanes and two railroad lines. There is a pedestrian pathway on the eastern side of the bridge and a cycleway on the western side of the bridge.
