Hi Greg will be coming with a friend on a 1200 gs .

This is gonna be good .:chickendance

Rob

It's a big group, so here are the ...

Rules of engagement:

  • I will generally lead (blue/yellow Husaberg 450)
  • Super Enduro R (Dave) will bring up the rear (riding, erm, an orange KTM Super Enduro R)
  • On road sections, we'll use the 'drop-off' system. (If you don't know it, please ask!)
  • We'll regroup at the end of every off-road section
  • I'll have my video camera so may stop to film some off-road sections, but rule above still applies
  • Watch for frost/ice on the road sections (there was some yesterday)
  • Leave enough space to stop if the guy in front to falls off. Laughing and general piss-taking is encouraged but ...
  • ...help him pick his bike up!
  • Watch out for horses - I'll be surprised if we don't come across any. On narrow lanes allow space for the horses to pass. ENGINES OFF until the horses are well clear.
  • Ride at a pace you are comfortable with. The group will move along at the pace of the slowest - it's not a problem!
  • When we get to The Old Bourne, you can either ride in the river bed or along the track that runs alongside. As we approach the end of that track, the lane narrows to a path rising up to the road. Watch the ditches initially on the left and then on the right!
  • Have a great day's ride!

Lunch - we pass a few pubs en-route, but it's difficult to gauge how far we'll have got by lunch-time. We'll have to take that decision on the hoof.
