I'm rebuilding my bike over here and am trying to source the parts.

My choices are -

Procycles - B&W main dealer - extortionately expensive.
bought one fork leg complete - $AU 800 !!

Ebay UK/DE - reasonable prices but slow to happen - auction finish times plus contact establishment and postage times . etc.

Currently Mr Gecko is helping me out here and i'm hugely indebted and grateful. I've not met him but he's arranging DHL and paying up front for German Ebay parts - maybe even going to collect them himself . The man is a star and - again i can't say enough good things. :thumb

Also - in the UK there are 3 main players for sourcing used parts.

Motoworks
Motobins
James Sherlocks.

Now - if you'll remember from ages ago, ive posted that i've not had the best service before from motoworks and recommended Sherlocks

Well - I emailed my list of parts to these 3 businesses.

Only Sherlocks even responded !

with prices and with VAT removed if they posted the bits . ( originally my mate was going to collect and forward )

A couple of emails and a phone call from me and the parts are posted .

Now thats also what i call TOP SERVICE.

Fck motoworks and Fck motobins !!

Next time you're stuck for something - in a desert or just in a pickle - i'd advise Sherlocks as your first contact .
Even if they hadn't got the part - they would order it and post it on.- minus VAT for other countries.

Top blokes all round - here's to Gecko and here's to Sherlocks

Phil,

if you need new parts, you might try Chicago BMW - not sure if they'll ship outside CONUS, but - if they will - they give 20% off BMW list price on all parts. I've bought all my service items, plus discs & my Navigator II from them during the trip. Speak to Mark at the parts counter - he's a very nice chap and has been very helpful...

Mike:)

sherlocks are my first stop for parts. they are definitely the best IMO :thumb
