Just back from an Overlander Trail Tours weekend.
Without a doubt one of the best days out on a bike I have ever had.
Finely tuned choice of tracks to suit the group (who were a fantastic bunch too), amazing views, great weather and a very dirty bike because I liked aiming for muddy puddles.
Some had TKC's on (i did too) and some had tourances on (all hail)... but everyone had a smile on - ALL day.
I can't get my head around how capable such a big bike can be and how much I could do by lunchtime! When we arrived I was tentatively riding over the lumpy grassy approach to the campsite, by noon I was powersliding out of gravel bends and jumping my bike right off the ground. I didn't have to do that, but the choice and options were on all the routes to ride as I wished.
The advice given by Boyd and Steve was simple, easy to follow and utterly changed the way I approach riding my bike (for the better) - learned so much about steering, braking and how to get out of holes and how to stay IN ruts.
I'll be back soon and from what everyone else was whooping when they got back to the camp site, so will they...
Awesome
Cheers OTT!
(photos soon...)
