I know this cracking book has been mentioned a few times on the forum, but not for several years that I can see. I have just bought a ‘revised & updated’ edition, with a lovely wee note in from the author. It’s giving me some excellent reading and allowing me to vicariously ride around Scotland, before I even get my hands on my own GS.
I believe the first 2 entries for The Solway & Kirkcudbrightshire are new routes for the guide and it’s good to see them included.
Route 1 ‘The Solway and Carrick Coasts’ opens with “The south western corner of Scotland is blessed with lovely roads and gorgeous scenery, yet it remains largely ignored by the majority of holidaymakers”. I know this to be true as it’s one of the reasons I chose to relocate here.
The roads just need more bikes on them !
