FWIW both models are offered here for 2013 but next year they drop the Classic along with the Road Glides. (They'll be back as 2015 models in a revised way.) The question I have is will they keep offering the Classic for export since it's the only RK you have?

In addition to hard panniers the regular RK is fitted with cast wheels (17" front) and tubeless tires. ABS and security are packaged together as a $1,200 option and cruise is $300.

RK Classic has the leather covered panniers and spoke wheels (16" front). Cruise along with ABS and security are standard.

Comparing both with ABS, cruise, and security the regular RK is still $700 less than a Classic.

Forget the looks and buy the one with the 17" front wheel

The Road king over here is the equivalent of $26652 how much are they in the states? and what are the prices like for private sales?

List price including freight on a Black RK is $18,134. If you add color, ABS & security, and cruise it’ll be 20,049.

RK Classic comes with ABS & security and cruise, in a color including freight it lists for $20,734

Many dealers try to get a bit above list but many will sell at list price by adding “prep” then discounting it off. Some may even discount but not much on RK's. Most will also try and add a “document fee” which could be anywhere from $50 to $300. You *may* get some of it waived. We also pay a state sales tax (based on which state you live) which varies. In WV it's 5%.
If I were buying one now it'd be the standard Road King in a color with cruise and ABS which is packaged with the stupid security.

As far as used they still hold their value fairly well. I just looked at the first two that popped up on Craigslist 75 miles up the road in Pittsburgh which is a popular internet ad source. These of course are just “asking prices”
