i don't know about rome. But London gets a bit cramped! 
Nothing worse that your bike sitting in a show room for 4 weeks before you can drive away!

Reg plates in Ireland run yearly. At the moment we are on 152-D-****** the 15 is the year D is for Dublin and the 2 for the second half of the year as in from July-Dec.
Now if I take the bike tomorrow (so tempting) it will be a 152-D-***** reg plate. In 4 weeks we move to 161-D and my bike is one year old in the eyes of every one rather than just 4 weeks old. Now personally I don't give two flying fu@ks BUT when it comes time to sell it and get a new one it makes a difference of a year in the buyers/dealers eyes and my pocket.
