Timolgra is in my neck of the woods, this week so he suggested a meet up as we haven't seen each other for ages, he also roped in Petcul and Lee Frost of the parish and a ride was executed

Weather looked best for North York Moors National Park, so they said 'show us yer manor' and I planned a nice loop for 140 miles starting and ending in Stokesley

We had dry weather all day, although the roads were a bit damp

Nice mix of open moorland roads and pretty villages, a few fords and some nice flowing Wolds roads, with a few bits of historic architecture thrown in, for culture's sake:D

We were all GSA mounted, 2 1150's and 2 12's

Meeting up, we found that Steptoe had branched out and opened up in the North:eek:

Heading over into Westerdale.....

Wonderful light, set against the forboding clouds, that thankfully didn't yield

After Rosedale, we headed over towards Egton Bridge and took the Roman Road over to Stape

This was the view before we got to Egton, a glorious view of Glaisdale - down a road I hadn't used before, it was a cracker

Final pic, in front of Kirkham Priory - near Castle Howard

Yorkshire has some fine Monastic ruins and the dissolution of the monastries has a lot to answer for:(

They are some amazing buildings

Riding with Compo, Foggy and Clegg again was a real pleasure .

Thank you gents :beerjug:

Nice to ride with 4 other likeminded GS'ers, just having a bimble and the odd spurt - who love a bit of midweek 'exploring'

Good to meet old friends again, we stopped far too often - just because we wanted to soak up the views and have a natter about bikes, travel and stuff - all day long

Thanks gents, your company was great today and hope you enjoyed the small sample of amazing Yorkshire roads:thumb

First class ride with good friends. What else would you want?

Thanks John for the planning. The tea/coffee/food stops were excellent.

Great to see you again Tim and to hear of your TAT adventures.

Lee, the off road ride is just postponed provided of course I still have the Yam.

Cracking day.

Great day chaps. Good to meet you JB and to catch up with Tim. Two bimbles in just over a week with Petcul is a personal best! Okay, we didn't hit the trails today Peter, but it was good to give the GS a blast on fantastic roads, even if I missed the last coffee stop. Thanks for the route planning JB :thumb
