I was plotting a route to a hotel in Chichester this afternoon and I managed to find it with Mapsource.

Just to check, I tried it again using AutoRoute.

The oddest thing has come up.

If you look closely you'll see that Cathedral Way in AutoRoute has magically become Via Ravenna in Mapsource ...

Very odd!!

Well I think you'll find that Via Ravenna is now the name of the road - certainly www.streetmap thinks it is!

The other intersting thing is that in European Metro Guide 4 it is named Cathederal Way along the entire length of the street. However in CS6 half the steet is Cathederal Way, with the other half being Via Ravenna. Now in CN8 the entire length is Via Ravenna. Looks like the change was made incrementally and by stealth. :)

Would also suggest that Autoroute needs updating :thumb

No good.

My eldest boy has been here all week with his wife and 4 month old twin boys.

Happily, they're all trooping off to my in-laws for next week.

God, but those two kids have got a set of lungs on 'em!! Dunno if thr trip from NY got 'em jet-lagged, but they have been a bit cranky. Mind you, I always find west-east travel harder than the other way round.

And, yes, I ought to buy an uptodate AutoRoute. Mine is several years old now.
