It's nearly two years since a group of us took a weekend trip up to Tongue and around to Ullapool and I fancied arranging something similar. Last time (October or around then) the ferry was closed to go up to the military base. I think this time we should go earlier and actually get to the tip of this land.

So my thinking is to go the other way around and then to come down the east coast something like that. I haven't got an itinerary planned just yet but I do have some cracking roads that could be done and if you are interested please share places you think worth visiting.

We'll be setting off Saturday unless people fancy doing a Friday evening and camping to get a head start. Should the same crew be on this one as the last then it'll be a cheapo hotel on Saturday where the beer will flow unhindered, the singing will be merry, and Chris Kelley will strip down to his undies. Bob will tell his war time stories and a randomer will have his ipod hanging from a bush after his gearbox locks solid and throws him down the road.

I'll throw a date in the works ... July 28th.

Who's in ?

Camping:eek:....at my age:rob....could be up for it, but lets talk about B&B.

The week before would be better, but don't count me out if this date stays.

I bet your a riot after a few glugglugs Garfield. :D Looking forward to it. :thumb2

I was only thinking about camping if we set off on the Friday (for turning up late), but B&B would be fine for both nights for myself.

Week before is Tipperary. Might kill the numbers, might not. I'm not going so week before is fine for me. We'll aim for one of these weekends and see who's free.

I found a B&B right next to the ferry for Cape Wrath here: http://www.keoldalebungalow.co.uk/Information.htm would be ideal for leaving the bikes.

Dates so far are 26-27th or the week before.

Make sure you ride the Dukes Pass, fifteen miles of road that you will do well to match anywhere.

I didn't check the rooms I presumed it would have had more than two! Could be cosy. :ymca

I'll have a look around, the B&B at Tongue had lots of rooms and was good diggs if nothing else can be found.
