Here's the route. I haven't sorted the sleeping arrangements but the hostel at Durness is cheap at £12.50 and is probably the only place that will support the numbers. I'm in favour of this and going down the road for food and drink and beer.
The route follows the west coast to Durness and is more eastern on the Sunday. On the Sunday morning we'll have a wander over the road to "Smoo Cave" and then get back on the bikes, backtracking a couple mile to the ferry. I've checked availability of this and the bus and it's good.
I've took Tuned's road in and used some Scotland trip reports for many of the roads. It adds another two hours on the Saturday but should be a very memorable route both ways.
I shall phone the hostel tomorrow and see how many rooms they have available and whether they do breakfast.
My number is 07928041615, stick it in your phone if you're coming.. The meeting point is Newcastle Airport roundabout at 8.00AM. If you need the group to meet you along the way PM me when your setting off, where we are meeting you and how long it takes for you to get there. I'll update people by txt as we progress.

I've got a version of mapsource, but the file wouldn't open.
Cancel that, I've got it to work. I've transferred it to my TomTom and it's a 1,400 mile round trip for me.

Too much from Norwich? You could always set off on the Friday, get further up on the route and meet us on the Saturday at some point?

snoopy you could go pillion on mine 1200 gsa or i have a kawasaki 650 klr w reg with only 1100o miles on it has only done 69 miles in the past two years so it is just sitting there doing nothing it is taxed motd and insured for me but as long as you have your own insurance you could use it for that weekend if you want will email you photos let me know
