What a weekend!

Big thanks to Richie and JR for organising this, it shows what a great country we live in! The scenery was stunning and the weather was perfect.

Great dinner in the pub, and we set off this morning to Dursey, then Healy Pass, Killarney, Tralee then Dublin via the Slieve Blooms.

I will upload a few photos, they are so-so, seem to be a bit of haze on them. Shouldha brought the Canon...bllx.

A trip to remember when the rain is lashing the windows and the bills are deep and crisp and even on the doormat.

Good to meet ya

I second that. Well done, Richie. I knew West Cork was beautiful but not to that extent. Great roads, fantastic scenery but you can't take the credit for the weather.
Great weekend and the Healy Pass today was amazing as well. :thumb2

Well Richie, you did it again! What a weekend, great weather, great roads, great scenery but best of all great company!

Hats off to you Richie, looking forward to next years!:clap:clap

What a great weekend, thanks a million Richie for all the effort. Really enjoyed it. :thumb2

From the few pics I have seen it seems to have been a brilliant weekend. With what I've had to miss out on so far, this other trip had better be good.

Peg's Shop:

A very close friend of my mother's was born in Adrigole and when by chance we dropped into that shop for brekkie, I asked the woman if she knew Nora Moran., Well, it turns out that shop was where Nora used to buy the groceries etc. etc. It was quite poignant there, and my mother was delighted to get the snaps.

Nora's eldest son Ciaran Moran's son Tristan was killed in a crash bike racing in Mondello in 2000. Very sad.

Cheers Lads, the weather was awesome, as was my route following:augie

Count on the third one happening in May 2011.

Thanks to all for coming, the only stress factor for organizing from my point of view is that people say they are coming but don't... The last two years everybody who said they were coming did... Fantastic:thumb
