Sounds like a good plan :thumb2:beerjug:

I reckon that folk are too used to being spoon fed and spoiled at Dent Mick

Many Dent attendees were within 2 / 3 hours or less away, organised and structured ride outs to choose, green lanes in abundance ...then quickly back home Sunday night or Monday morning .

Travelling north to Strontian requires a little bit more planning for the majority but once you are there...A complete loop round Mull is easily doable, Arising and then ferry to Skye ( book in advance ) and then the long way back down..is easily doable, a simple loop around Ardnamurchan with a detour out to Castle Tioram is to be recommended, or how about a trip up the North side of Loch Ness and return South side..or continue beyond Ness to Aviemore and loop back Laggan side. One merely need to use one's imagination...and this is all easily viewable on paper maps
Or just contact Wapping and he will happily ' guide ' your path via various German mapping systems :thumb2

Previous Dent trips for me ( plus pillion ) have been in the region of a 1000 mile weekend...just saying :augie

I do fancy this even though its a trek, the timing is not so good.
I travel to Spain to start a cruise on the 23rd...
i wanted to use that weekend to get sorted lol

i might change my mind yet :)

Sorry about the timing Barnoe, but as said, we can't suit all the people all of the time. Hope to see you there though. Bier in the fridge if you can make it :thumby:

I'm about an hour away from Dent and much as I'd love to get to the Strontian, my condition means that after about 80 miles I start falling asleep at the wheel /handlebars. Not great but nowt much can be done. I hope everyone has a fun time, it's just beyond my physical capabilities to get there. Oh and I've never been on organised ride outs, that sounds like a complete nightmare to me.
