I also was lucky enough to have a wee run out yesterday (250 miles!!) and it was great with ok (variable) weather and great roads. Lots of flooding and debris all over the roads. Realised that the word 'bleak' was invented for Rannoch Station!! But found a fine wee cafe for good grub up the road in Kinnloch Rannoch Will post a few pics when I get time.
Oh and was it anyone on here who went past us on the road down into Aberfeldy on a fully loaded silver 1150ADV 2-up?

as a wee aside - when ascending Schiehallion by the motorway (east side from the car park) just after leaving the second and last fence line, one crosses an old homestead of blackhouses (skeletal outlines), never seen anyone stopping to consider this place.
At this homestead turn due south and follow this contour round the base of the 'hill'to the west for maybe a mile,there is a good sheeptrack (take wellies).
This area is peppered with potholes of various sizes. One in particular has a stream emerging . At this one a person can enter the mouth of the cave easily where you will find a wee boulder in the water with some Irish coins placed on it. Be carefull as some of these potholes are right on the edge of the footpath and go vertically downward for some distance (shouting won't help).
The Grampian Speleology Society have done brilliant surveys in this area with excellent scale drawings in the report (have a copy).
