What rubber bung?
If you mean on the vac take off ,it has blanking screws fitted.
The casting on the carb body is due to using one casting for l/h and r/h

I put a short piece of rubber fuel hose over mine on the GS as belt and braces just to retain the blanking screw due to the smooth nature of the engine slow running.
