the tale of the missing black cap...

Hi guys, I know this issue has been discussed several times before but I thought I'd share this oddity with you...

I bought these model R1200GS's from my BMW dealer the other day, a really detailed model, very impressive, but noticed that the 'missing plastic cap' in the frame joint of the real thing is fitted to both sides of the model, odd hey ?

I asked BMW.de why this cap was missing on the right side and didn't get much response except that it was not necessary on that side of the frame, hmmm?
