I really don't get why a company like BuMW can't, in the year 2011, actually fit a light to its best selling bike that actually allows you to see beyond 10 meters in front. My 400/4 was better in 1977.

Lights

As a new comer to 1200's, (1150 still in garage) I was amazed how gloomy the dipped beam is, I thought they must have improved over the dreadful lights on 1150's but no. Main beam was usable but not as good as my 1997 1100RT, down a dark lane in the rain dipped beam was like the old Vin on 6volt lights bloody 'orrible. However, Dr Les has now been called in so the cure is on it's way!.

I initially thought this, but after discussing it on a thread on this site I adjusted the beam angle and now don't think it's that bad at all

Same here snerkler, tried adjusting the aim of my own accord, also put one of those '60% brighter' bulbs in,

good enough for most people I think
