meet?

Guys, where and when will you be meeting up? I plan to come from Bristol, so just need to get the timing right. Is this off road or road?
Thanks.
Chris

Guys

I would suggest that we meet here in the carpark of the Brynafon Hotel.

Please park at the bottom of the car park ie away from the hotel.

If you plan to stay overnight, please use the Brynafon as they have been pretty good to us in the past and tolerate our dirty bike and boot sin their hotel.

Please be ready to ride away at 09.00hrs - we have around 90 miles to ride and there is only one fuel stop (that's after about 20 miles riding).

Given the time of year, it will of course be getting dark quite early. Please ensure that your lights work.

For those in any doubt, this is an OFF-Road biased event. Although you'll be welcome to try, I don't thing that this can be done on a regular GS at this time of year.

To give you an idea, here's a selection of photies from previous Wales Trails:

It's not as bad as it looks! ;) Greg
I've heard that before - I had flashbacks of the 2005 Hogroast there for a minute. :D I still fancy doing it, but I'm wondering if I've bitten off more than I can chew as a first attempt, and on an unfamiliar bike.

I don't want to be slowing down you serious off-roaders, so if I find that I'm a liability I may drop out after the fuel stop 20 miles into the route.

Taff dont be a ponce !!

only been out on my Ktm a handful of times since i bought it you,ll be fine :thumb :thumb

We need slower riders on the trip so that old farts like me can take a break!

The first picture shows me pushing my bike through a river that we have to cross four times. Just before the picture was taken I'd dropped my bike in the river and it took an hour to restart!

The second picture shows Phil Reynolds pushing his bike through a deep rut that he could have ridden around. God, did we larf!

The third picture shows Charlie Batty getting roosted with his own bike in 'The Bog'. To be honest, this is the hardest part of the trail and we'll probably all have to help each other get through it!

The fourth picture shows Riverking (appropriate name) having ridden down the river-cum-road behind. It's not that deep or difficult.

Here's another picture of The Bog - this one of darkhorse showing how not to do it!

:thumb I am working on the friday and then driving over for a few jars and will be leaving the leicester area hopefully around 5pm ,

I have a three bike trailer and have room for two more bikes so if anyone wants to come along give me a shout or pm even :thumb :thumb

Do you live in the Leicester area??
If so,and you ride trails.... www.larf-online.com could be a good forum for yourself.
I would have liked to come but i have only just gotten back from Cornwall so it seems unlikely.

Sorry cant make this now. I've got to go to a funeral on Friday afternoon, which wont give me enough time to get to Wales.
