The Wales Trails - 27 January 2007

Thanks for that:thumb

Shame you cant tag along.

No problem Ming. It's a decent forum for getting onto rideouts in the peaks or even local lanes over towards Tamworth etc although we usually arrange some Wales,North Yorks etc rideouts also.

*i'll stop hijacking the thread now...soz guys*

I'm ready, my bikes ready and I'm staying in Rhyader tonight are many others:beer:

We need slower riders on the trip so that old farts like me can take a break!

The first picture shows me pushing my bike through a river that we have to cross four times. Just before the picture was taken I'd dropped my bike in the river and it took an hour to restart!

The second picture shows Phil Reynolds pushing his bike through a deep rut that he could have ridden around. God, did we larf!

The third picture shows Charlie Batty getting roosted with his own bike in 'The Bog'. To be honest, this is the hardest part of the trail and we'll probably all have to help each other get through it!

The fourth picture shows Riverking (appropriate name) having ridden down the river-cum-road behind. It's not that deep or difficult.

Here's another picture of The Bog - this one of darkhorse showing how not to do it!

Cheers Greg

Would love to join you, but haven't found a replacement for the XR400 yet - and no its wasn't left in the bog

Sorry, but won't be able to make this after all as I will be in work. :( With a bit of luck, I should be able to have a few hours around Brechfa forest on Sunday afternoon. :thumb

Will keep an eye on here, coz I still fancy having a crack at it.

I haven't finally decided, but don't think that I'll be in Rhayader until the morning.

A cracking day with Rob, Ming and Timolgra!

Unfortunately I binned it half-way up the Log Flume ...

The bog was worse than I've ever seen it.

Ming's bike (above) is stuck in the section AFTER the bad bit!!

We all washed our kit in the stream at the bottom of the hill!
