Just been over to Leeds to pick up a second-hand Corbin seat from Terry Ryan. An hour on the motorway in freezing conditions and it was snowing when I got to his house.

So I thought I’d keep warm on the way home by trying out the seat on some dirt trails – just to see how comfortable it was. Here’s some pictures…

Seems to suit the style of the bike

Overlooking Sowerby Bridge – Seat seems quite comfy

No problem with getting cross-rutted with the new seat

Still in control with the new seat even down a gnarly, rocky descent

Hmm!!

Seems like the seat was a good buy. Just got to fit it now.

BTW - 1 hour to get to Leeds and 4 to get back.

Yep - amazing what you can do with 10 minutes on Fugawi - planned the route (completely new to me) this morning before coming over to you.

Will send you a map of the route.

Tracks for follow

Casey

I'll have to drop you the tracks so you and spout can get out and do those tracks - I'm going to be tied up for a while.

One of the trails I did above Sowerby bridge was not on my route, but I saw it clean across the valley and snaffled it after a detour for fish and chips. The track was a nice greasey half rock / half mud steep pull straight out of the valley. The only other poontang on the trail was from a trials bike going down - the GS did it both ways.

Did another gnarley drop down - and I was really glad I was going down rather than up - lots of rock steeps and ice - and even gladder that there was a way out at the bottom ;-).

Also found a quarry where you can do trials and got the phone number of the owners ;-).
