If you need somewhere to hide the bike in the short-term in-case they come back, I can offer a space in Greenwich.

Thanks. :thumb2 That's really kind but I think the bike's going to be okay. Found out nothing that was taken was insured so, as you can imagine, I'm having a bad day.

You're a good man, Charlie Brown! I'll get by. It was packed for a big trip (Poland/Ukraine) that got cancelled and I was waiting to have a little spin to Scotland in lieu. Shouldn't have left it loaded up even in a supposedly secure car park.

That sucks man. My DR-Z400E was nicked last week, and I only had it 3 weeks.

For what its worth, you may find your house insurance covers the contents that got stolen. Mine (with Hiscox) covers stuff in a locked vehicle, and I am pretty sure, covers a locked pannier.

But whether it is worth claiming is another matter.

Well, I wasn't going to admit it but went to claim only to find out that it lapsed two months ago. I thought renewal was automatic but, as an annual payer, I had to telephone them. They say they wrote to me but I honestly don't recall it. £800 of stuff gone and nowt I can do to replace it other than buy it all again!

I tell ya, yesterday was a bad day!

Sorry to hear about your DRZ!
