I haven't worked out how this has happened yet, but it looks like my rear tyre has worn a hole in my mudsling. The 'sling is fitted as far back as it can be and doesn't touch the wheel when stationary, so I'm wondering if it gets sucked onto the wheel at speed.

Anyone else had this issue?

Nope.

Had a welly sucked off in a bog recently.....................(gotta be careful how I say that)

But seriously, no, I`ve a mudsling fitted and had nothing like you have described fella

More likely to be caused by gravel ,grit ,road debris smacking the inside.

I would second that and looks like a one off case. I would recommend checking if it's coming off a bit loose.
