+1 on Icebreakers merino wool. I keep buying from them. T-shirts, tights, sweaters. Nothing compares to the comfort of merino.Definitely go the Merino wool way, might be more expensive but by far the best and doesn't start to odour after a couple of hours like man-made fibres. Have tried quite a few brands of Merino wool garments and Icebreakers is the best for quality, shape keeping and comfort. Great for travel and camping as they can last a few days before needing a wash. I managed to get some at half price when the local BLACKS shut down. Merino wool t-shirts are great for all year round wear, not just for layering in winter.
Seelskinz socks are great and merino wool again.
Go outdoors sell their own brand of Merino Wool socks for about £5 a pair and they are great. Got thinner ones from John Lewis for summer use. I think it was 3 pairs for £12.
Shovelled snow for hours today and merino t-shirt performed great at wicking the sweat away, and it still smelled fresh at the end of it.
It was through this site that I got the advice to try out Merino wool stuff and I am very pleased that I followed the recommendations. You will not be disappointed.
