I’ve just got a Cardo Spirit after years of using cheapo eBay Bluetooth units, and I’m very impressed with it. My problem is that in one of my helmets there’s not a lot of room for the speakers, and despite lots of fiddling I can’t get them comfy over my ears, especially when I close the flip front and the helmet gets a smidge tighter.
It’s a standard 3.5 mm jack, so you’d think it would be an easy job to find a slimmer more comfortable replacement option, but I’m struggling!
Does anyone have any recommendations or experience for this?
You can see in the photos how thick the current speakers are, and they’re a tough little swine; no give in them at all!

What helmet ?

I ask as most helmets these days seem to have cut outs in the EPS for speakers

Probably irrelevant, but I gave up on helmet speakers and bought a pair of custom fit ear monitors from ultimate ear. Can still hear everything going on around me but audio is crisp and clear and running at lowest volume now instead of cranked to the max.

As it's a 3.5mm jack, you could try a pair of fairly cheap slim ear buds instead of the speakers perhaps? Panasonic ergofit are only £8 a pop

I used a Forster drill bit to gently melt the polystyrene (used a fast speed and very little pressure to create friction) and it did a lovely job of deepening my holes (ooo-er)
