Haven't been for years. Thinking of heading there tomorrow with the missus and my folks. No time to trail through the tourist info site and trip advisor etc (or am I just a lazy sod?) and only going to have from mid morning to lateish afternoon there tomorrow anyway.

Any (Viz? :D ) top tips from you locals for things of culture to see for a few hours to keep 4 adults (2 early 40s, 2 early/mid 60s) occupied. :thumb2

Have a wander down to the quayside. There are good pubs/restaurants, nice bridges to look at and you can have a look around the Sage building and the Baltic gallery.... and I think it's all free :clap

Them bords look canny enough to me like, y knaa, bonny lad. Way aye.

Went to the Baltic. Still can't 'get' contemporary art :hide but don't mind having a look once in a blue moon. Impressive building and setup.

Also went to the Sage - impressive in and out.

Then went for a wander by the quayside. It pi55ed down. A lot.

Made a nice change and kept me ma happy :D
