Zumo stopped charging in the cradles bike and car , checked everything still no power getting to zumo, power at pins on cradles. After much head scratching it turned out that the power pins had worn a round hole through the contact on the bottom of the zumo so there was no contact.

So managed to get a little solder on to it however its not as hard as the original material it does wear away quickly.

Any one got any ideas ?

As to the cause? Vibration.

As to the solution? Temporary? Fix with solder. Permanent? Contact Garmin.

The mount seems tight I think it might be the spring on the little pin has gone weak and there was a sometype of arcing ? combination of water electricity and age ? its out of warrenty so it will be interesting to see how much a recase will be ? its very dificult to solder to as its very small and close to others.

Fixed got hold of a demo shop zumo and the case is the same so just swopped it over.
