Thinking about selling one of my airheads

The lure of another Brit bike is growing stronger so realistically I'm going to have to cull my airheads and Yam 1100 to fit one in.

Much as I love my Basic clone it's going to have to go. I still need to finish a couple of bits off - fork sliders are black while the others are being redone white and a couple of other bits.

It isn't a Basic. It's a 100PD thats had a brand new Basic Subframe fitted. The engines recently had Moorespeed over size one piece valves and valve seats fitted along with F1 Technology valve guides. It's running high comp pistons. This all makes for a smooth running quick engine.

The gearbox has been rebuilt and there are more new parts than you can shake a stick at.

Price wise I'm looking at £4.5k. If you have a Norton Commando or a 1340 Evo harley get in touch.

We have just had a rash of people in Oz start advertising a crating/ shipping/ documentation service from the West coast of the USA to Oz.
Just get the bike to them and they do the rest.

Charges are quite reasonable- around $A1000-/GBP 600- , and this makes purchasing in the US attractive if you can find the right bike.

I asked just on the off chance that there was someone in the UK advertising a similar service, as your bike comes in the category of the "right bike" and even if the shipping was twice the cost of from the US it would still work out OK.

No problems with the box - I got off my backside and bought a couple of cheap roughies on Ebay, and the tools to rebuild them.

On stripping both were good, having no more than output bearing wear , and they have been a cheap rebuild / source of parts.

So I have been able to replace my junk GS box, rebuild the heavily damaged G/S box , and have a spare too - although a kickstart end cover for the spare would be nice if I could find one.

Send a PM to Sgt Bilco and see if he has spare space in the containers heading for San Francisco May/June. He has two organised trips and if he had space I would expect him to be happy to fill it.
