Thinking of buying a 14 plate GS but it's factory lowered and I want it full size.

As it says.. whats required to put it back to std?.. shocks front and rear... and stands....

Its got 11K miles on it and selling for £8K with extras... and its mint... so maybe worth doing?

The best way for me would be to find someone with a std one who wants it lowered?...

is that going to happen?... or, sell the bits and buy Wilbers (or what ever they call them... anyone any idea of cost on these units?)

You'll need shocks and both stands. Why not find one the right height? There are lots of them out there...

If it's lowered it's got ESA. That's going to be *expensive* to replace the shocks.
 
WTF ?? just buy a normal height bike .....

Thanks again for your advice.. although you appear to have changed your mind.. ?.... I posted the same here, as its the LC section .. and thats where I'll find people wanting to swap.... originaly posted in the Hex section coz thats what I have and I always post there...
Unlike you guy's, I only ever looking in the one section that applies to me... may be other do too...

What answer do you want ?

Many people, myself included, gave you the best advice we could on your other thread on the same subject. It seems you did not like that advice so started another thread in a different section to see if you could get the answer you wanted.

I gave you the answer you wanted to hear despite that answer being a total pack of lies


Buy it or dont its up to you not me or anyone else on here
 
If you want a standard height bike then buy a standard bike, you just have to wait until the right one comes along, simple as.

Ok... DOES ANYONE WANT TO SWAP THE BITS?... or the bike cove to that :)

Assume lowered ones cost more???
 
I have found a cat I like, but I really need a dog. Does anyone know if I can buy a conversion kit or want to swap bits off their fido? ;)

we are hardly talking turning a Triumph into a BMW are we?... are any of you guy's hands on.. or do the big BMW garages do it all for you?.. thats half the enjoyment for me.. messing!..
I've built a Harley this winter frame up...
Swaping a couple of shocks is hardly rocket sience....

That must have been old stock that's been sat around unregistered !
