Keep the 1100

Monster,

Keep the 1100GS, the 1150 has some small cosmetic changes etc which at the end are not going to increase the enjoyable side of your ride. For the price you paid it sounds like you found a well looked after bike so get some value for money and pile the mileage on. Looked at Vern's 1100 only done 140000 miles and just run in....;)

The 1100 also have more low down grunt for some reason so the additional 50cc won't even make a difference. For the extra £££ rather kit the bike out or treat yourself on a nice biking holiday.

Still loads of 1100GS owners around and most of them won't swop them for the world.

Cheers

Keep the 1100

Build quality on the 1100 seems to be better all round and the lack of 6th is only evident on M-ways....so get off them and ride proper roads!!!!

Spend the money on uprated shocks, rechip, exhaust and K&N filter.

Cooperman.

As an 1150 rider, i can only echo the build quality remarks, haven't ridden an 1100 so can't comment of performance other than that i'd spend the extra on engine work and get over 100bhp at the end of the tinkering....interesting...eh James B?

Maybe, maybe not.

After all, they need to make a profit and have to pay VAT on the profit and have enough margin to cover warranty work and maybe £5.8k was over the odds in the first place.

Then again it may be an insulting offer!

It is not an obviously cut & dried case. :)
