Thinking of getting this tent, any thoughts

Looks the right price, I always look on E bay, tents, 2 man, distance nearest.

Complete outdoors are just down the road, they put their tents on at £1.99 start :thumb2

not sure about that one, but I use a vango sigma 300, dual porch jobby.

Its been very good for the last three years i've used it. The two porches allow me to dump all my kit in one porch and enter the tent from the other.

One of the few tents left standing at one GSer event in Achill:thumb2

Down side is the threading of the poles, much easier with two people, but a fiddle if you are on your own and in a hurry

Im after a tent for the odd bit of camping, quite like the idea of these tunnel tents with a porchy bit on the front.

Vango Beta 250

They're good tents, made heavier by the use of fibreglass poles, and polythene groundsheet.

If it's just for you it'll be fine, but if there are two of you I'd recommend the 350.

I use a Vango Omega 350, which has alloy poles and a nylon groundsheet which saves a bit of weight - but does cost twice as much.

:thumb Got one, very good, as said above poles a little fiddley but other than that very good.

Also, has two layers, i.e can put the external shell up in wet and then the main tent inside in the dry !ish

thx for your thoughts guys :thumb2

what sort of water proof bag do you use for stuffing the tent sleeping bag etc in ???

I have the Vango Beta 350 and its an excellent tent with loads of room and large porch area. At 5" 8 I can stand in it bent over a little but easily get changed etc. The porch area is big enough for 4 sitting in chairs and the Vango service if you ever need it is first class. There a superb tent you wont be dissapointed. :thumb2
