I owned the bike for the last 10 yrs averaging less than 1k miles a year. Bike was built about 2 yrs before that and had done 5k when I got it. It's based on a R100GS and has the 1070 engine. Bike had new bars, wheels, tank and single seat fitted then. Other nice bits are full Siebenrock exhaust, Ohlins rear shock and front uprated fork internals. Also has the larger front disc fitted which works well. Also larger sump. New loom.
Bike gets looked after by DrFarkoff from this parish and regularly serviced. Anything technical ask him. Just thru MOT.
Problem is i have no idea what this is worth. Any suggestions?

I didn't want to just put it on Gumtree or marketplace as its a bit of a special old thing.

It’s not impossible to find examples of similarly tweaked airhead specials for sale - but I think finding proper data of completed sales is much harder. Very tricky to price.

Great bike with some quality upgrades . Pricing is difficult in what is a very slow market

Standard running riding bikes are going for as little as £3K and fully restored as new bikes up to £12K

As everyone who has built a special like this knows you never get the money back you put in to them

Hopefully a fellow enthusiast can reach a deal and get themselves a cracking bike

Current injuries aside I would have been tempted to have a trip over to Larne myself......

Thanks for that honest reply. I realise you haven't seen the bike but there's nothing wrong with it and every time I ride it I love it
It's just after 10 yrs I fancy a change.
Would 8k be realistic?

I would go £8k ono.

Your at the top end with 100pd's then but be prepared to go down to £6k with standard GS's

Would I buy that rather than a 100pd at the similar price abso-bloody-lutely...

So the non standard addons definately increase saleability but I question the value add over a 100PD.
