This is an annoying forum

I've accessed this forum for sometime now but this is my first 'post'.

This forum is extremely annoying - I logon hoping to get some quick advice (from other's threads) only to find myself reading first rate stuff all fli**ing night !! One tidbit always seems to lead to another.

I have a 2003 1150 Adventure and I've checked out loads of threads on additional lighting (the standard one's are worse than my mountain bike..) Migsel bars, Motoswitches, spotlights, xenon lights etc but I've decided that my technical expertise is way way below all of yours (fitting the 'Tobinator' was about my limit !!) and that I'll need to find a dealer somewhere near London that can fit whatever lights I end up with, for me... electrics really are toooo complicated. I saw a guy in Clerkenwell the other day (on a dark grey 1150 gs) who had a top pair of aux lights - I know he mentioned Rob Farmers switch to me but I couldn't hear the rest of the advice (ear plugs too effective) - what lights did you have on ??

Something I would like some help on from the true experts is with a Corbin seat and a top box.

I have to get a top box (now) but I will also be getting a Corbin seat (when I save some money). What is the best top box with the corbin on the Adventure ? From the pics on the Corbin site the seat appears very long. I like the look of the Jesse's but I need something that will fit with the corbin (without modifications) and will take some weight - will I need extra support under the standard rack ?

I'm sure someone out there has experience of this....you all seem to know loads...I don't have too much time to get the top box (trip to France looms) so some best ofs would be greatly appreciated.

An 'annoyingly' top site...

Corbin seat pair is longer than standard. I have a givi box and had to move it back to get pillion seat on.

Downside is since my wife now sit further back, she find sthe footpegs in the wrong place when the panniers are on.

Get the MiGSel rob farmer etc light kit. Steptoe is official light fitter and is in Shepherds Bush I think. Also he´s a good source of parts and info on bikes and sartorial eloquence apparently!

seats: search here for Corbin, or Bill Mayer (www.billmayersaddles.com) (thats what I have) or Russell. All are US.

I swear by myMayer saddle - MikeO also has a two piece version (we both have advs like you).
