How the hell did you find that?:thumb wonder if its as rich as west cheshire:ChrisKelly

Teapot, are you going to have this meet on a weekday in the future ?

It is indeed a wealthy suburb of NYC. My brother visited some friends there a few years ago. I had almost forgotten it until Rudimoto said "Tarry Down". Like a Bourne Identity assassin that is a sleeper until he hears a certain keyword I sprung into life with the appropriate post for this thread :D

not sure what day would suit all..
but better ask the fella who's going to organzie the next one , as per my earlyer post only doing this one. just to get the ball rolling as such.
ideals put forward so far are::augie

two different meets, one in the north of our Region and one in the south.
have a different venue each month
a different person each time organizing the meets ..
a central location in the Northwest

so over to someone else after this one:)
me i'm open minded , did enjoy the last meet in the lakes :D:D meet some great lads and had a good laugh...wonder weather jonos tents still there:D:D

GOOD:D

not sure any day is good for all...not sure location is good for all..
but for sure if chaps in the Northwest want a meet.. folk need to put something into it them selves ..
I

Deffo agreed on this one....impossible to please everyone...don't even begin to try . :blast For me the weekend starts on a Friday and weekend nights are for family, meals out, pubbing it or the movies. Weekend days are for hobbies / bike riding. Biker meets are better in the week....oh and for some reason historically Mondays weren't as good for people which is why the Windmill moved to a Tuesday.. dont know why ... just my 2p:thumb

As I said before in response to Steves original post I think it needs somebody driving it (well volunteered you :comfort) and it's also best to be consistent with venue and night so people get used to it being on & can just turn up last minute fairly certain that something will be happening.......over & out:beerjug:

i' sure the next guy who organizes the next meet will take all views into account,;)
for me fridays are better... week days tend to get in the way of work..
but as i've said before meets are not my thing, (boring)
i'd rather have full weekends away on the bike...
but thats just me:rolleyes:
the venue is more north this time to make it more central , and if it changes places each time it may encourage folk to read the post the week before the
meets , thus this may get more involvemeet from folk. then again some lazy f--kers just want it all done for them:D
me thinks the venue will be the same location each time after a few places have been tried out.

it will take the memebers of the north west to make it happen. not just some sad sack who as nowt else to do:blast:):)

So are you our Rushy this weekend.
My last run before Turkey trots.

Good pub this, been quite a few times myself!

Very eccentric, it's like a brik-a-brak store on acid! Lots of quirky little things in there, good grub too :) And the local ales (they have 3 each week) are usually pretty good! If you ask what local ales they have, they will give you three shot glasses with a sample of each so you can choose the one you like the most :)

Lamb and Mint puddin is good, as is the mixed grill :)

this pubs as made me smile a few times, like you said " brik-a brak " is a understatement if your normal local pub is pristine clean ..this pub could turn you off at first look.. but i've also found the food to be good...
but not got around to have a try at the different beers:blast

Rushy
